Review

Deer's Revenge is a parody of a well-known hunting video game called Deer Hunter. This time you play as a deer, lurking on the forest and hunting "hicks" (mostly drunk people).
As you are noticing, the game is intended to introduce the player into a special hilarious atmosphere. Every screen of this game is covered with such particular subject, in fact, you will quickly discover it just when visiting the download page on the developer's site. However most of non-english players will miss the funny dialogues, sound effects, and even the available help! It's all spoken in English.
Something to remark: graphics are rather poor compared to the cutting-edge titles now available. You will see some glitches from time to time, but the game is still playable at any moment. It's evident that this game is quite old, so you will need very low system resources to run it (ex. 64 MB RAM as recommended).
As a demo, of course, you can enjoy just the first stage and to select one weapon (the Net Gun). Despite of that, if you are able to understand spoken English, you will have a good time with this game.
Advantages
  • Very, I mean VERY funny.
Disadvantages
  • Refuses hotkeys for application switch (like Alt+Tab)
  • Some video glitches.
  • Lacks subtitles for non-english users.
